Our Story

Old things, thoughtfully gathered.

Consider the Lilies Mercantile exists for people who see beauty in simple, enduring things and believe a home should reflect a life lived with intention.

About the mercantile

Some things are too beautiful to be forgotten.

At Consider the Lilies Mercantile, we believe every antique and vintage piece carries a story worth preserving, a moment in time, a life well lived, and the homes that held it along the way.

What started as a lifelong love of collecting became something we could not keep to ourselves. For years, we wandered thrift stores, scoured flea markets, and fell in love with forgotten furniture and overlooked home decor, the kind of pieces that speak quietly but say so much.

Why the name matters

The name Consider the Lilies comes from a timeless reminder to slow down, to notice beauty in simple and enduring things. That is exactly what we invite you to do here. Each piece in the shop has been thoughtfully chosen for its character, craftsmanship, and the warmth it can bring to a home.

For homes that feel collected

This shop is for those who find more meaning in a handcrafted piece than anything fresh off a factory floor; people who know that the most meaningful spaces are not decorated, they are collected.

Whether you are searching for a statement piece or a quiet treasure, we are glad you found us.

Matthew 6:28-29

“Consider the lilies, they neither toil nor spin, yet even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.”

What we look for

Character, craftsmanship, warmth.

1

Age with grace

Patina, small imperfections, softened edges, and honest wear are part of the story, not flaws to erase.

2

Styling value

We choose pieces that help a shelf, table, wall, or corner feel layered and personal.

3

Quiet beauty

Not everything needs to be loud. Some of the best pieces are the ones you notice slowly.
